About

Founded in 1931 the society remains a small and friendly group of like-minded people with a common interest in horticulture and gardening for pleasure. 

We run a varied programme of shows, talks and outings between February and October. See our Events page for further details.

Members enjoy a range of benefits and discounts at local and national companies and societies.

As a society we deadhead the roses in the church yard of St. Michael the Archangel, Smarden. It is affiliated with The Royal Horticultural Society and the Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies.
