Smarden Gardeners' Society
about us

Who are we?

Founded in 1931 the society remains a small and friendly group of like-minded people with a common interest in horticulture and gardening for pleasure.

As a society we deadhead the roses in the church yard of St. Michael the Archangel, Smarden. We run an “After School Garden Club” every week during the Spring, Summer and Autumn Terms at the village Primary School.

Hedgehogs

As temperatures improve many Hedgehogs emerge from hibernation and need our assistance. Please read the flyer and help in any way you can. Should you find a Hedgehog that may need some help please contact Lisa at the Thorne Hedgehog Rescue Centre on 07825 952201 or Email her at thornehedgehogrescuecentre@gmail.com
